Dementia

 Brain injury is the root cause of dementia. Usually, it affects the cortex of the brain, or the "thinking bit." Since each person is unique, their symptoms will worsen at a different rate. Damage increases with time, exacerbating the symptoms. Typical symptoms include trouble remembering things, having trouble communicating, and having trouble doing daily tasks. Dementia does not currently have a treatment. However, organisations that such as Alzheimer Society are funding research conducted for treatment. Additionally, medications are available to assist delay the onset of some types of dementia.

 

Caring for a loved one with dementia can be challenging, even for a family member that prepared themselves it can be overwhelming. However, we don’t believe that should pose as a barrier of having your loved one stay in the comfort of their home if it’s safe do so. Every dementia service user is different and cannot be generalised, but it has been proven that care of patients with dementia within their own homes gives them a sense of security and familiarity. Noah care group is here to assist your loved one through this transition of living with a person with dementia, we offer 24/7 care or drop ins. Every day with a loved one with dementia is different and can be difficult for family members, our highly trained staff are compassionate and knowledgeable on our to provide the best dignified care for your loved ones.

We offer person-centred care to assist young adults from various backgrounds.

We can allocate a personal assistant or carer that works with you if you're seeking for in-home care that is tailored to your schedule and way of life. We'll match you with a personal assistant or support worker who can assist you, whether you need extra help at work or school or ongoing care to enable you to stay at home.

Our carers can assist with:

  • Shopping trips and companion, you don’t have to do it alone. Noah care group will provide you with the support you need to be independent. 

  • We can support you with attending university, we understand it can be overwhelming to attend lectures alone and our carers can offer you that sense of security that someone you’re familiar with is near if you need the help.

  • Trips and holidays:  our support workers can organise activities for you that can help you integrate into your community. If you are adventurous, we have support workers who will plan holiday trips for you and attend with you, giving you a sense of security and friendship.

  • Our support staff can assist you with maintaining your hobbies, you don’t have to stop doing your favourite activities. Ww will offer the tailored support you require to continue participating in your favourite activities.

  • Planning your day: it can be overwhelming planning ahead alone, when required your allocated support worker can help you with planning your day-to-day activities, such as, getting to work, outfits, and meal planning. You don’t have to do it alone, do it with Noah care group, were here to help.

Personal care

Our Personal Care services at Noah care group make sure that assistance and care are given with dignity and a dedication to promoting your or your loved one's independence. We are aware that receiving assistance with activities of daily living, including taking a shower or getting dressed, can improve your quality of life and keep you content at home. Since every person is different, we make sure that the personal attention and support we provide is customised just for you. To ensure that you or your loved one receives the necessary care and assistance in the manner that you desire, we will collaborate with you or them to create a comprehensive person-cantered plan that our Care Professionals will adhere to.

Palliative

Palliative care refers to professional support assistance designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with severe illnesses such as heart failure or cancer.

 

It helps to reduce the stress associated with the illness for the patient and their family by addressing targeted symptom relief and supporting curative therapy.

With palliative care at home, you can continue to live where you feel most at ease—with your loved ones and your memories. You can receive specialised support and symptom alleviation from a serious illness whenever you need it, with one-on-one assistance from a caring carer who has received training in end-of-life care.

 

Or carers will support you with personal care, we know it can be difficult to take care of yourself as you were doing before becoming ill, we provide dignified care packages that will help you feel like yourself always.

We help with meal preparations, medication administration, we provide companionship and mobility support. Our carers are given palliative care training and will care for you or your loved one with compassion.
